Valpolicella
Valpolicella is the area in which Valpolicella Classic Wine is produced. It is located on the North-West side of Verona and it is a wonderful natural amphitheater covering four valleys, where the fresh air coming from Lessini Mountains is mitigated by the warm breezes of Garda Lake. This pastiche of climates brings a perfect weather to grow olive trees, cherries and grapes. The hill part of the area (between 200 and 500 meters o.s.l.) is the widest and the better suited for vines’cultivation.Valpolicella covers five historical municipalities: Sant'Ambrogio, Fumane, Marano, San Pietro in Cariano and Negrar.
In this marvellous context and from the typical native grapes of the area (Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara) famous wines such as Valpolicella, Amarone and Recioto are produced.
